South Florida's Cinematic Architect: 'A Director's Five Decade of Legacies"
Steve Marcus is a TV Director, Producer, and owner of Marcus Productions. A Production company established in 1975 with over 1500 National TV Campaigns Produced over five decades. Steve directs a Response Television Marketing and Advertising experience. At the same time, educate about every facet of Direct Response Television Production Marketing, and TV Commercial Production. Its company has become an expert in advice and execution in the TV Business. Steve is a testament to his innovative spirit. He earned an Emmy Award in 1970 during his early 20s. He was recognized by the Legend himself, the actor and innovator Desi Arnaz. After that, Steve created, produced, and directed the national TV series Disco Magic from 1977 to 1979. Featuring the era's biggest recording stars, this hit series aired on CBS stations and captivated audiences in over 50 countries. His talent for multi-camera direction caught the eye of Disney, who enlisted him for two one-hour specials: "Stars of the 21st Century," showcasing his expertise within their theme parks, and "A Day In the Life of Walt Disney World," which, with host Mickey Mouse, took viewers on an unprecedented journey behind the scenes. Steve's directorial prowess also extended to three one-hour Holiday TV Specials for ABC stations nationwide, hosted by Spencer Christian of Good Morning America. These specials featured a star-studded lineup, including Chaka Khan, Peabo Bryson, Dr. Ruth, Rip Taylor, Eva LaRue, and Michael Winslow. They were shot at Greenwich Studios in North Miami. He also directed the Fox television special, "The John Casablancas Look of the Year Competition," a high-energy event at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach, where top models competed for a $150,000 Elite Modeling contract. "Vision of Wisdom: The Cinematographer's Journey" With Special Guest Ricardo J Gale
Ricardo Jaques Gale is a seasoned and highly respected Cuban American filmmaker and cinematographer with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Based in our backyard, Ricardo's career spans an impressive array of work, including 86 film credits across feature films, short films, television series, and commercials. Ricardo began his journey in the industry as a production assistant in Miami before advancing his education at USC Film School in Los Angeles. From there, he gained hands-on experience in various technical roles—working as a film lab technician, key grip, gaffer, and even flying Steadicam for a decade. His big break as a cinematographer came under the mentorship of the legendary Roger Corman. Throughout his career, Ricardo has contributed to 26 projects in the Camera and Electrical Department, produced 11 short films and music videos, and directed two feature films: "Eyes of the Serpent" (1994) and "Alien Intruder" (1993). He has also directed two music videos that reached #1 on MTV, including "Rico Suave" by Gerardo, which received three MTV Award nominations, and "We Want the Funk" featuring George Clinton. She has also worked with well-known directors such as Steven Soderbergh, Sidney Pollack, The Farrelly Bros., Bob Zemeckis, Ron Howard, Michael Bay, Randa Haines, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, and many more. Ellen is the Founder and President of Ellen Jacoby Casting International, a casting office with separate divisions for film, television, commercials, and Hispanic projects, casting projects across the United States. Ellen has employed over 300,000 Florida actors, dancers, and performers throughout the years. Mo Fitzgibbons has built a daring career, overcoming every obstacle with discipline and determination. Miami Native went from being a model teenager, skateboarding on the cover of magazines and commercials, to directing, producing, and writing for over 2 decades. She founded Walker Fitzgibbon TV & Film, a company based in South Florida and Los Angeles. Amount other projects include broadcast television in national commercials. Her expertise in promos, animation, reality, variety, biographies, documentaries, and music specials in English and Spanish makes her one of the most sought-after in the film industry. She had worked with prominent directors such as Ridley Scott, Tony Kaye, and Spike Jonze on videos and national commercials for Coca-Cola, Burger King, and other top advertisers. Soon after, she started producing and directing commercials and music videos. Simultaneously, she gained experience in post-production, graphic design, and special effects for various multimedia platforms, including HBO, MTV, and other channels. Fusing Film and Sculpture with a Unique Artistic Lens "Special guest Claudio Marcotulli"
Claudio Marcotulli is a filmmaker born in Venezuela; from his early days growing up in Caracas, his passion for aerodynamics, filmmaking, and the arts grew tremendously every day until he had the opportunity to train as an Aeronautical Engineer. As Claudio Marcotulli continued his education in the early 2000s, he received his B.F.A graduate from Emerson College in Boston and M.F.A degree from the Miami International University of Art and Design in 2005. Since then, his work has been exhibited internationally and has received support from South Florida PBS, The Knight Foundation, and MDC Live Arts, among others. Claudio is a Miami-based artist who works predominantly in media, sculpture, and performance, creating works that investigate his interest in technology and nature by illuminating existential questions surrounding these subjects. His projects range from sculpture and performance installations to film and digital imagery, often referencing memory, natural elements, and climate change issues with a surrealistic approach.
