Level I Session one - 5 Hours Session two - 5 Hours Level II Session one - 5 Hours Session two - 5 Hours Level III Session one - 5 Hours Session two - 5 Hours Level IV Session one - 5 Hours Session two - 5 Hours With 40 hours of completion, you will have achieved the certification for the Gaffer, Lighting Master Training Workshop. A continuation below is the detail of the theory and Lab of the course. Beginning with a Lighting from A trough Z, from Tungsten, Halogen, Florescent, HMI,HID, to LED the Gaffer will work with the DP to applies his knowledge to every scene. Must important you will learn the best practices from a professional instructor hands on. In addition, hand on the equipment with one of the best ambient & scenario of the film industry. At last you will be part of a production shoot that will give you the confident to work in a real film production process. I. Theory: 1 Hour - Discussion on the responsibilities of a Gaffer & Lighting department - The tools of the trade - Understanding the part of been a Gaffer in the lighting department crew not only working as and individual but as a united as crew and other important paperwork to follow. - On set protocol and chain of commands in Lighting Dept. - Brief history of the Gaffer & Light department- example of video footage shoot by professional of the industry and behind the scene for Q & A with the instructor. II. Lab Part: 2 1/2 Hours - Proper handling of difference tools and equipments, as they will build a scene to shoot on the studio - Understanding why every step of the working process is an essential part for the success of the production. - Examples of what to do when you have in and emergency and backup plans.
